How to Get Paid on Workana and How Much Is Deducted

Updated: October 23, 2026 · WorkIsThere

Getting paid on Workana takes several steps: the client deposits, you deliver, the work is approved, the commission is deducted, and only then can you withdraw. We explain each stage.

Quick answer

On Workana the client deposits the payment in escrow, it is released when they approve the delivery and a commission of 20% to 5% is deducted. Then you withdraw the balance with the methods available in your country. On WorkIsThere you get paid directly and keep 100%.

Step by Step

  • The client accepts your proposal and deposits the amount on Workana.
  • You do the work and deliver it from the project workspace.
  • The client approves the delivery and the payment is released.
  • Workana deducts its commission based on what you have billed with that client.
  • The balance becomes available to withdraw with the methods enabled in your country.

How Much Is Deducted

The commission is tiered per client: 20% of the first USD 300, 10% up to USD 3,000 and 5% beyond that. In addition, depending on the withdrawal method, there may be payment processor or currency conversion costs.

How You Get Paid on WorkIsThere

WorkIsThere never touches the money: client and freelancer agree on the payment method in the project chat and the payment goes straight to you. The most commonly used methods are bank transfer, Mercado Pago, Pix, PayPal, Payoneer, Wise and stablecoins.

To work safely, we recommend splitting large projects into deliveries, asking for an advance on the first job with a new client and checking their ratings.
