Cookie Policy

Last updated: October 24, 2026

This is a translation. In case of any discrepancy, the Spanish version prevails.

This Cookie Policy explains what cookies are, which ones the website workisthere.com uses, for what purpose and how you can configure or reject them. It forms part of the Terms and Conditions and the Privacy Policy.

1. What are cookies?

Cookies are small text files that a website saves in your browser when you visit it. They allow, for example, keeping your session active or remembering your preferences. We also use similar technologies, such as the browser’s local storage (localStorage), which in this policy we treat the same as cookies.

2. Types of cookies we use

We classify cookies into three categories:

  • Necessary: essential for the site to function and be secure (signing in, maintaining the session, protecting the site against attacks and remembering your choice about cookies). They cannot be disabled from the notice because the service does not work without them.
  • Functional: allow remembering choices that improve your experience, such as resuming the conversation with the support chat. They are used only if you accept them.
  • Analytics: would help us understand in aggregate how the site is used in order to improve it. WorkIsThere currently does not use analytics or advertising cookies; if we introduce them in the future, they will be activated only if you accept them.

3. Detail of cookies and storage

These are the cookies and storage data that the site may save:

  • sb-…-auth-token (Necessary, first-party): keeps your session securely active. It is created when you sign in and deleted when you sign out. Duration: up to 400 days or until you sign out.
  • wit_consent (Necessary, first-party): saves your choice about cookies so we do not ask you again. Duration: 12 months.
  • wit_seen (Necessary, first-party): limits to once every 10 minutes the recording of your last visit, which we use for platform security. Duration: 10 minutes.
  • __cf_bm and cf_clearance (Necessary, from Cloudflare): protect the site against bots and attacks. Duration: between 30 minutes and 1 year, depending on the case.
  • wit_support (Functional, local storage): remembers your conversation with the support chat so that you can resume it. It is saved only if you accept functional cookies. Duration: until you clear your browser data.
  • Google cookies (third-party): only if you choose “Continue with Google”, Google uses its own cookies on its domain for the sign-in process, in accordance with its privacy policy.

4. How to configure your preferences

The first time you visit the site we show you a notice so that you can accept all cookies, reject the optional ones or choose by category. You can change your choice at any time from the “Cookie settings” link at the bottom of each page.

You can also block or delete cookies from your browser settings. If you block the necessary cookies, you will not be able to sign in or use the features reserved for registered users.

5. Changes to this policy

If we introduce new cookies or change their purpose, we will update this policy and, when necessary, ask for your consent again.
